Children's Chapel & Bible Surfers
Our Children’s Chapel is geared for ages 3-6 while our Bible Surfers is appropriate for grades 2 – 6. Both groups meet on Sundays at 9:50 am and then go into the church during the Peace. Our Bible Surfers participate in the service with Fr. Ernie by bringing him treasure box with a “surprise” and he does his best to relate whatever it may be to the gospel. This group loves when they “stump” Fr. Ernie! The curriculum for Children's Chapel and Bible Surfers offered by the Episcopal Church (http://episcopaldigitalnetwork.com/lessons/ ) will be utilized. This curriculum follows the Propers for each Sunday. The children will have a lesson that includes a version of the gospel which is age appropriate along with an activity. The main goal is to teach the children how God loves us and what we are called to do.

New Beginnings & Happening Retreats
New Beginnings is a weekend especially designed to respond to the issues, concerns, and needs of teenagers in middle school (approx 12 – 15 year olds). It was created to help young people grow in their love of themselves, of others, and of the Lord Jesus Christ. Participants do not have to be Episcopalian but must be recommended by an Episcopal Church and have the backing of an adult (over age 21) from that church that will be attending the weekend as a sponsor. It is expected that all participants, sponsors, and team stay for the entire weekend due to the building nature of the talks and activities. The next New Beginnings is scheduled for March 24 @ 7:00 pm - March 26 @ 1:30 pm, cost is $100. Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers. It is designed for youth in grades 10-12 and sponsored by the Episcopal Church. Most young people have serious questions about Jesus and the Church. Happening is designed to address these questions. During a Happening weekend, participants experience the love of Christ as shown through prayer, worship, and the ministry of peers, clergy, and lay adults. The Happeners are encouraged to make their renewed faith a apart of their everyday lives. Happening shows how Christianity can keep pace with the many changes in our lives and our world. April 28, 6:00 pm - April 30, 5:00 pm Cost:$125 Both New Beginnings and Happening are held at Camp Wingmann.
